https://youtu.be/YxXlLwTFjgcTake a look at this video called The John Leyton Touch from 1961 featuring John singing a couple of his hit records with an orchestra directed by Charles Blackwell ,in the rhythm section it contains members of The Tornados ,Clem Cattini ,George Bellamy ,Alan Caddy but I can`t make up my mind if the bass player is Heinz or not he is playing a Fender bass but his hair is not blonde .I have never seen Heinz playing a Fender bass anywhere ,no sign of an organ player either someone playing piano with his back to the camera, interesting video to look at any suggestions.

Not Heinz Burt.
Maybe it's Chas Hodges?

Hmmm...can't place the face!!
He looks very young...doesn't look like Chas Hodges to me.
Not Brian Gregg either, and a quick search failed to turn up any other likely contemporary bass players.
Any clues gentlemen?

I think it is a young Heinz. Don't be mislead by the hair - I think the blond dye came later. Also, don't be mislead by the bass - this is a mimed session, so the bass is only a prop.
More of a mystery is the guitar player to his left, who is not George Bellamy.

Yes it is Heinz before he got the blond dyed cotton wool type quiff he sported.
as a Tornado and as a solo artist.
Also sure its George Bellamy (looking quite young) because he mainly played a Gibson Acoustic
during his spell as rythm guitarist in the Tornados.
Check out a rare Scopitone video (colour) of Telstar on You Tube and spot which member is missing!!!
