12 gauge guitar strings

Postby dale01487ITSME » 26 Jul 2017, 19:51

Hi all, I've been using 12 gauge strings with a wound g but I'm now looking for a set with a plain 22 gauge G. Having difficulty finding a set, I realise I can simply buy a supply of 22s plain but just wondering if anyone knows where I could get a complete set without replacing the G. The low is a .52.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dale

Stringjoy sound like your answer. They enable you to make a custom set of strings with plain 3rd or without to the exact guages you want.

https://www.stringjoy.com/guitarstrings ... r-strings/

Works out about £11 a set including delivery

£11? Are they avin a larf?

I can buy sets of D'Addario EXL110s, 12-52 with a plain G for a fraction of that. Best strings you'll ever buy, settle down really quickly and stay in tune for ever.

(They're not paying me to say that by the way.)

Hi
I think D'addario EXL110 is 10-46. That's the one I use.

You're right - not having any 12s to hand, I looked at a set of 10s to get the number.

I'd blame old age, but my brain is no older than the rest of me, and that still works ok ...
