Thanks very much Denis :-) very pleased you liked it.
Just found out that Roger's BT was based on the version by Shakin Stevens released in 1981.

All the best... Phil

Yes I did enjoy this version not all vocal records translate into instrumentals , Conway Twitty did this in about 1959 which had a Country and Western feel about it .

Hi Derek - Just had a listen to Conway Twitty's recording I agree a country feel to it and guitar sounds of the time.
Many thanks for your good comments :-) Cheers Phil

Hi Phil

Although I no longer play, I do log in occasionally to view/listen to sound files. This one is right up to your usual standards and I enjoyed it very much. It does bring back some happy memories for me as I "closed the show" with it at my son's wedding party in Yokohama in April 2011. Here's my effort:

https://youtu.be/nBQdpLUAty4

The guitar (Burns Anniversary) and amp (AC15) were borrowed for the day from a member of the Tokyo Shadows club. The BT was the same one that you used and was being played from the far end of the room

Apologies for the wobbly camera work. It was produced by a combination of my oldest son, who had been drinking sake all day, and his 4-year-old daughter :)

(ex-guitar player) - now a ukulele and ukulele bass player!
Update: After 10 years absence, now a born-again Hankie
