That's a good point too. I'm not generally a fan of turning songs into guitar instros but the Everlys' material lends itself better than most to such treatment. Their own guitar sounds are right up the Bruce street for a start. The tunes are good. The Shads have already done Temptation twice! I'd love to hear Cathy's Clown done again, closer to Don and Phil's approach. And there are many others worthy of a try, I feel.

Becaud was an accomplished pianist AND Guitarist so maybe the Tune came first, rather than lyrics and that's why they make good instros.
