END OF THE WORM

Postby Stratpicker » 05 Oct 2018, 17:14

I never originally intended to record this tune, having given up recording stuff, but I got 'earworm' with it (the melody, not the lyrics) so what the heck, here it is.

A 1962 'tearjerker' written by Arthur Kent (with lyrics by Sylvia Dee) and recorded by Skeeter Davis, amongst many, many others, including Herman's Hermits (B side of "Henry VIII, I am").

I've re-arranged it a bit, as I do, altering the key from Bb to G and changing, adding and/or embellishing some chords.
Backing track is mine, 100% Band In A Box.

I hope you enjoy it. Its only two and a half minutes long - spoil yourself. ;-)

Splendid El Planto. I remember you playing this when God's
dog was just a pup. I liked it then and I like it now. Lovely.
Cheers, Alan.
To know and have known the love of a little dog is a truly wonderful thing.

Hi Alan - glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Baco - yes, one from the old Gt Wyrley days but this time the BT is my own. The lyrics were a bit OTT but the melody is great.
Hi Tonni - Greetings. Thumbs up from me to you too.
Hi Keith - I'm doing fine, just dont post much any more. Hung my boots up for a while until this darned tune got in my head - again. Thanks for the feedback.
Cheers
