Happy Birthday to US!

By my reckoning it's been 20 years since I started Shadowmusic on the Microsoft Communities site. We've had several homes since then, and thousands of members and postings. There's a long list of people to thank, most notably Bob Dore for rescuing us and providing a home here at no charge, Iain Purdon who has shouldered the day to day moderation for a long time now, Dave Robinson for his foresight in bringing the online Shadows community together again - to say nothing about his forensic postings about amps, echoes etc - and to George Geddes for acting as backstop to the moderation team.

Whilst postings about the music we love has experienced a rebirth on Facebook, Shadowmusic offers an unrivalled depth of coverage which can, with diligence, be searched through and enjoyed.

Thanks to YOU all for being here.

I discovered the original messageboard in 1998. I encouraged one other person (now gone) to join in 2000. Seems like yesterday.

Like many other people, until I found the message board and the SCOFA website I thought I was the only person who liked the Shadows!

I was the first french member in may 2000, and it inspired the creation of the french Shadows forum in 2004.

Congrats to us all, especially to David Martin !!

I was the first member from Serbia to join, I can't remember exactly when, possibly even from the very beginning, and I am proud to say, for those who don't know or have forgotten, that I designed our current ShadowMusic logo (following a competition we had back in 2009, when we moved here).
