I started looking at Boss because of the amount of guys moving away from heavy Vox amps
and being satisfied with Katana amps.
There was a couple of guys that had the Blackstar ID series, but changed to Boss.
One I can remember was Steve R who used the ID but changed to Boss Katana and also Dave R also
uses the Boss Katana head with Neo's for being less in weight.
I was in the process of getting the KTN head when the Nextone amps showed up that's why I asked
If anybody tried both amps together.
When I am fit enough to go to the music shop I will be abled to try out the KTN and Nextone and the ID you mentioned.
Being house bound at moment I was hoping someone had tried both Boss amps

Just to be clear Carl, I don’t use a Katana head, mine is the 2X12 100w combo. I tried the 50w, the 100w 1x12 and the 2x12 is better.
The cabinet with Neos that you mention that I use, is driven by my tiny Vox MV 50 CLEAN amp and sounds like AC-30.
I was experimenting with different options to the AC-30 at the time for the sake of losing the heavy weight, thus ending up with several options.
In retrospect, if I had fitted a Neodymium speaker in my Vox Valveronix 30 AVT , it would have been suffice.
I recently purchased the Fender Rumble 100 V3 and it weighs nothing and sounds brilliant for guitar, even though it is a bass amp. It was our bass player Alan Jones that let me try his and I went straight out and bought one, I got the shop display one for £180.
