Interesting. Let's hope the CD gets fixed also and we can get free replacements.

The BBC also (now) have the full (John Peel) "Sounds On Sunday" broadcast, in stereo.

I would like to think so, but I think the record company will take the easiest and cheapest way by just replacing the two incorrect tracks with the correct ones on all the digital music services (which they apparently already did) and that's it. I would be surprised if any corrected CD editions will appear.

Iain Purdon wrote:Speaking as a retired staff member at the BBC World Service I can confirm that there was a radio music programme called Top of the Pops, presented by Brian Matthew and broadcast worldwide but not in the UK. Recordings for this programme were used on the CD but wrongly attributed to Saturday Club.
Could the Top of the Pops radio programmes have been repackaged performances from Saturday Club and other BBC pop shows?
[EDIT] Have now seen Rob's post confirming that this was indeed the case.

Noticed that yesterday - track length was at variance with the CD. BUT today the track length are the same as the CD - so has Spotify reverted to the the original CD again!!!
I had hoped to grab those "correct" tracks - seems I am too late.

More and more mysterious.
I found the tracks again that I had yesterday on Spotify. They are different in length to the album.
I play them and are clearly different to the album.
I download them - and guess what - they are the album track again.
Weird or what!

Geoff - I think you are right. They had replaced the erraoneous studio versions on the digital platforms (Spotify / Apple Music) - with the correct BBC 'Live' versions - but seems they have reverted again to the original (incorrect) studio tracks!

Yes true - but what I cannot understand is there I am looking at and hearing the correct BBC tracks but when I download them they turn out to be the studio tracks.
Very odd.
Perhaps there is more than one Spotify server involved and whilst looking at the corrected version the download comes from another server with the non corrected version?

Both the correct and incorrect versions of the tracks can be heard on YouTube.
