With 'Vol.1' selling reasonably well (+ a vinyl version issued) & the impending 'Shadows 60th' upcoming etc., etc., etc, I wonder whether they might be encouraged to consider putting out a 'Volume 2' (not that the first CD was ever officially 'Volume 1'). Basically, if it ever happened, it could round up every surviving track known to still exist. There's a handful of tracks from the 1974 Peel Sessions...but the rest are all 'Off Air' recordings spanning the years 1959 - 1966. Of course, they can never be 'Master Tape' quality...but they are enormously important historically. The overall sound quality is perfectly listenable & doubtless professional sound engineers could improve the quality slightly. Die-hard fans will know the material (BUT...there could also be one or two surprises). It has become apparent to me that many fans / collectors have A) Never heard many of the tracks at all....B) Heard them...but not since they were broadcast well over 50 years ago now.
I am just putting this on Shadowmusic to gauge reaction. Essentially....if such a project were ever to come to fruition.....would fans be willing to purchase it????
Bests......Rob
