SHADOWING HANK - latest tour dates

Postby MeBHank » Wed Feb 05, 2020 12:47 am

Winter break over. OK, deep breath, here we go...

After a wonderfully enjoyable inaugural year of taking 'Shadowing Hank' national, including far better than expected ticket sales, it's time for the first full year of theatre shows. I'd like to announce the first few theatre gigs to take place during the 60th anniversary of Apache:

This is not an exhaustive gig list; new dates are in the pipeline at various venues, but as yet are not confirmed. I'll update this thread and edit this post every time new dates are added, or when tickets go on sale for the later shows on this list.

It was great to see some old friends and meet new ones at the 2019 shows, and I'm hoping to see more of our wonderful Shadows family during 2020. I'm trying to keep it fresh; I won't be performing exactly the same show if I'm returning to a venue I've previously visited, so let's meet up at every opportunity!

See you soon!

What's the format? Do you play The Shadows hits with a backing band?

I went to his show at Hayling Island last year and it was an excellent evening, hope to go to Totton this year.

UPDATE!

Advance notice added to OP of two further dates: Brixham and Hayling Island.

Hi Roy. For a few years I've not had the time to manage a band, so I developed 'Shadowing Hank' as a one-man tribute, which means I can tackle all sorts of material from across the years, mixing old classics with Hank's later output. I've aimed to recreate Hank's solo tours on a smaller scale, helped by a sophisticated production that took me three years to develop. Come along and see. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Hi Justin,

Good luck with the gigs! Any venues in the Worcester/Birmingham area in the pipeline? Did you get the set-lists?

Best wishes,

Clive

As I live in West Sussex - what would be the better of the venues? Hayling Island or Southampton, if I was using train/bus?

Kindest regards,

Peter

Good idea, I might just do that!

What I should have said was, one of the people I was thinking of going with was born with the same condition as King Richard 3rd - an s-shaped spinal column.

I was wondering if anyone on this forum could advise as to whether either of the venues in the south, could be classed as a bit difficult for persons who can only walk a short distance with assistance. I will of course see what I can find on the Web, but, remembering 2002 when my gang went down to Yeovil to see Bruce Welch's Evening Shadows, we did have a bit of fun finding the venue! Now thanks to SatNav and iMaps, things are easier for us.

Kindest regards,
Christopher
