Hi i wondered if its possible to emulate the vox tremolo on a boss Katana ? How close can you get to the vox sound on a Katana ?

The Katana amp only has 'control' for speed, not depth. I don't know if the so called 'app' allows control over this parameter.

You can set Wave Shape, Rate (Speed) and Depth with the software. To get the best out of the Katana you really need to use the Tone Studio.

There is a pdf manual for it on the Boss website, and some very good videos on You Tube. Here's one: https://youtu.be/Cil8V0Rxqwg
Just a little warning, I bought my amp last November, and couldn't get the Tone Studio to recognise it at all. I was on the verge of sending the amp back when I found a link telling me that I had to update the firmware - even though the amp was new. Again I had to hunt around to find how to do it, but once I did it everything went very smoothly.

I used the Katana head for over twelve months with great success but setting up the sounds on the computer in the Tone Studio. In answer to your question you can get a good Vox AC30 tremolo simulation, I used it. :)

I've had my Fender Twin Reverb Tone Master for almost a year now and no longer have the Boss Tone Studio on my computer.
If you set up Boss Tone Studio and use it to programme your Katana, you should discover as I did the way it works, experiment with it you can't break it the tones are in there.
