Not only that Alan, that Boss Katana does a great job too, it's very versatile and the great thing is that it isn't really expensive.
These times are good if you are an up and coming guitarist as there has never been so much excellent low priced gear around that actually delivers top quality, from the Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster, the Zoom G1, G3, G5 and many others, along with a good choice of small, light amps from Vox, Fender, Boss and more.
I remember when we started that the budget guitars were largely horrendous to play and by comparison were far more expensive to buy, for example a Squier Classic Vibe Strat that I bought a few months ago cost me £329 ( in 1963 ghat was the equivalent of £15.26) from Reidy's and the quality is up there with the high end Fender guitars that cost thousands. In 1963 my Vox Duotone cost 28gns and was nowhere near the quality of the Squier, it's £29.40 in todays money which equates to £633.73 go figure.
