FORT KNOX

Hi Everyone

This file http://www.4shared.com/file/206006970/f ... 10_wi.html is in response to our friendly member Con Tiki (Ange) who wanted me to challenge this Lenny Clerwal tune made popular by the Group "1961".

The Backing Track for Fort Knox was done by Roger Alcock. It can be purchased at http://www.vintage-sounds.co.uk/.

This interesting intro of the BT here was used originally as a counter by Roger Alcock.
The outro was done by my production team ;D :o

My thanks go to Roger for his permission to use this excellent BT and also to my good buddies from the TVS team for their guidance and advice. :) :)

Thanks also to Ian SixChannel for his support. :)

Hope you like it

What a Corker!
Its absolutely Spot On!! Great 1961 tone and the playing style is perfect too.
Couldnt be better. Bravo!!
Superb BT by our Roger - loved the Apache start!
No BT shown on my Database of 1961 tracks for Second Street- great opportunity for Roger or Gary to make one. LOL!

Hi Ian

Thanks for your comments and appreciation
If you have a listen to the Shadows track..."The Boys", you will see that Lenny probably based "Second Street" on this. I even think its in the same key. On that basis you or someone could create a BT along those lines. The ultimate would be to have LIVE drums, but thats not always going to happen. What do you think...???

A terrific version of this number Spike and the guitar tone is excellent.

Lennart Clerwall has written many great instrumental tracks, and with some of them he has chosen to make the arrangement /tempo/melody such that it brings a certain Shadows recording to mind.

Thanks Roger, Phil and Dave

Your comments are very supportive and appreciated.
I do enjoying playing these great LC tunes as I do Shadows tunes but its always good to do something different every so often even though some are very similar to Shads tunes.

There are a couple more of LC work that I like and might do a bit later.

Thanks again guys!
