Hi Stuart,
I found this on you tube a few months ago, don't know if any one has put this on this site before, for those of us interested which will be almost everyone
on this site when Hank plays Apache did you notice how he lifts his fingers off the 3rd frets on the gallop part of it to stop the strings ringing out, not noticed this before on other videos, this is one of bits on Apache that I can never seem to get to sound right.

It's an interesting point about the Shadows never having played in Italy over the decades, and one I hadn't ever considered previously - something to do with the reliability of local promoters, or was that a partial joke?
