Anyrate what did you think of the song, I'm sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea but you never know.

As well as being a session bass player (and playing for for The Shadows), Mo wrote a book called '17 watts?'* filled with funny reminicinces of British rock musicians about their early days and of working in studios. The introduction is by Hank. It was later re-issued with the title British Rock Guitar.
'Kim Novak' isn't rhyming slang. Mo quotes Clem (Cattini) as the origin of the joke. To quote from my (signed) copy of the book:-
Kim Novak and Jack Good teamed up in a band called 'Novak and Good'. Then Tommy Steele joined and it was Steele, Novak and Good. * The book was called '17 watts' because that was the quoted power of a Wakins Dominator amp (with the same output valves as a Vox AC15). Mo's school band discussed this awesome power "But will we
really need 17 watts?"
