The article refers to autobiographies.
When Bruce published his autobiography (1989), thirty years had passed since those events in the late 1950s when The Shadows came into being and his memories were fresh. Hopefully, Brian's memories of events in his life sixty years ago are still fresh.
Being pedantic, the district of London in which Bruce and Hank stayed after the show in Edmonton at "Mrs Bowman's large house in Holly Park" was not FInsbury Park, but Stroud Green. A 10 minute ride on a W7 bus from Finsbury Park Station will take you past Holly Park. (now rebuilt). Their nearest station would have been Crouch Hill on the GOBLIN (the Gospel Oak to Barking LINe and they would have taken the bus (or walked if they were broke) to Finsbury park Station for the Piccadilly Line tube to Leicester Square for the walk to the 2is.
