Charity Concert in Congleton, Cheshire

Postby Paulps » 01 Apr 2010, 16:48

I am putting on a concert in aid of McMillan Cancer Support, on May 15th at Congleton Cricket Club, doors open 7.30pm, show starts 8.00pm.
There will be a "Live" band, comprising of Ian "Stratpicker" Plant, Charles "Geronimo" Campbell, Nigel "Franz" Duckworth, Clive "Mekon" Duckworth, and myself. We will be playing a wide variety of tunes, mostly from the 60s, including, of course, several Shadows numbers.
As this is a very worthwhile cause, I hope that many of you will come to support us.
Tickets are ONLY £5.00, and if you want any, or if you cannot attend but still want to donate to this cause, please send me a PM.

Cant be with you on the 15th Paul - will be in Isle of Wight on hols. Have a good night and raise a few quid. The McMillan are doing ok with local donations in the last few months. We raised £1,400 in November at a 60s night in memory of our former bass player and recently another £600 at Biddulph Town Hall for the Mayor's Charity which will also go to McMallan. A very worthy cause!

Hi
Before anyone takes offence, this is NOT self promotion, but a promotion for a very worthwhile cause, McMillan Cancer Support. During my recent problem, I received a lot of support from McMillan and I am hoping to give something back. If you can come, please let me know by PM, and I can send you a ticket (or 2, or 3, or more). I can promise you a "rocking" good night.

Hi Paul,
Don't you concern yourself with "Self Promotion"....................I'd bet that the majority of folks on here won't!!
Hope you have a GREAT gig, and keep up the good Charity Fundraising work.
Regards
Paul

Not self promotion Paul, its advertising - just informing anyone who's interested that you are doing a special night for a worthy cause. If you dont promote it no one will know what your doing! Let the Congleton Chronicle know! :)
