Hi all, first posting ever, first Shadowmania ever. Apparently I represented the entire United States that weekend so I hope I done alright by y'all (yes there are more than a few enlightened souls in the US who dig the Shads). I was mightily impressed by the goings-on, from the Friday pre-show party to the chit-chat into the wee hours of Saturday night/Sunday morning. What blows me away is the fact that none of them, Bruce, Brian, Jet, Licorice, Alan or Cliff, really need to be at these things; they've got nothing to prove or promote, but they show up anyway and give of their limited time and unlimited talent. That's no small doin's and I have a ton of respect for every one of them; they're all class acts. The music was outstanding; the supporting bands were all top-rank and watching the play-alongs on Friday night was a real kick. Special thanks go to Roy and Kathy Cresswell who welcomed me to the shindig on late notice, and warm greetings and thanks go to everyone I met or played with over the weekend. Shadowmania is a very special thing and I hope my first one won't be my last. All the best to you!

But it seems there is a quality problem with video #15 (unstable image).

If it's the Andy I'm thinking of, he plays an Epiphone Texan, specialising in Shadows instrumentals and some of their songs too...

I've been out all evening while these were uploading but I notice some of you found them anyway :)

Thanks Gillian, as I've said before to Phil and Kitty these are priceless. :)

Thank you much Gillian and Phil,

I feel like I was there with you.
The sound and playing on all the performances are masterful.

Let's have the next Shadowmania in the US, we are much deprived here, and it would be great to see you

... and I'm glad you did, Nick. You've captured how I felt about it. I brought my wife for the first time - definitely not a Shads fan. She came along to please me but came away pretty darned impressed. Bruce is the man.

Well, I have to hand it to Justin - and the 'Shadowers' for superb playing and a fantastic sound.
Here is a link to a video I've just uploaded of them playing Cosy, then 'My Resistance is Low' and then Mustang.

The lead guitar sound on Cosy and Resistance is just sublime - well done guys.

And Justin - sorry for confusing your beautiful vintage AC15 with a 'heritage' - I just didn't see it properly until I watched the video back...

Yep Jim it's me, I brought an electric over with me but it's a Les Paul Special and it just wouldn't have looked right amidst a sea of Fiesta Red ;) , so I came along unplugged. I do own a couple of Strats (sunburst and Sonic Blue, so they just don't sound the same!) but they're back home in America, and yes, Kansas City is where I call home except for the next two years where it'll be London.
