Hi Keith
thanks for your very kind comments.
The Q2 EFTP is new to me - I've been a Zoom2000EFTP man since 2004 and I STILL love some of the echoes that the old one produces. However, this track used Q2EFTP 0-30 which is a Roland echo. It might be a bit OTT but I've only had the unit a week so am still experimenting.
On these "modern" Hank tracks I'm sure that, apart from the Kinman FV pickups, some of the smoothness in tone comes from having Tone control on the Bridge pup   and turning it DOWN to around 7. It just seems to sweeten up what can be quite a brittle pickup sound somehow.
Also - my AC15 'model' is set at Treble 12 oclock, MIddle - FULL, Bass - 10 o clock.
cheers
Ian

Sometimes when replying to a soundfile that I've enjoyed it becomes difficult to avoid using the same descriptive words and phrases but that apart I very much enjoyed this one Ian.

Great guitar work complimented by an excellent backing track.

Hi Ian,

My apologies for the late response Ian (been a little sidetracked lately).

I thought that you have excelled yourself with this one. I loved it. I have the Guitar Man CD so am familiar with the original. It could have been Hank playing as far as I was concerned. :? It sounded pretty close anyway. The technique sounded flawless and you played it really well. The backing track sounds great too. Phil and Andy did great work on that. :D

Thanks for sharing that piece. Top shelf! :)

Regards,
Len

Hi Slapsticker. I missed this posting earlier. To quote all the TV poseurs "You absolutely nailed this one".

What about doing "Love Will Keep Us Alive" next?
