Peace Pipe through Ampworks (AC15) + psp608 (Meazzi)

Postby Bojan » 05 Oct 2009, 02:19

I am posting my first sound file through my Korg Ampworks with the Vox AC15 setting which I have changed by turning up the mids all the way and almost completely cutting the treble and bass. Here is the result in combination with two VST plugins: psp608 (emulating the Meazzi Echomatic 2) and psp Vintage Warmer, recorded through Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 2.0 . . . The guitar is my Brason "Strat" with CS54 pickups and Gibson 12/56 strings.

Please have a listen and tell me what you think.

Splendid Boing. Well played, as ever, and a lovely sound. A pleasure to listen to.

Cheers, Alan.

Well played Bojan, good sound and echo but IMHO there needs to be some 'dirt' in there as it sounds too clean if you're trying to achieve the early sound. :)

Hi Bojan

A very pleasing sound and not a million miles away from the original.

I haven't tried a PSP 608,I'l have to go have a look.

Thanks guys . . .

Alan, the psp608 is an excellent echo plugin . . . especially with the patches created by Piet and Jacob on the echotapper website

Dave, I have added some "dirt" to the echo track using a plugin called "Imperfection" . . . and updated the old sound file on the same above 4shared link. I hope this makes it sound a little more realistic.

Ecca, in the meantime I remembered both names . . .

Boing!

I'm sorry, I should have said this at the beginning. The echo patch I used was made by Piet Verbruggen and Jacob Heijer (http://www.echotapper.nl)

Bojan, this is an excellent sound file, very close to the original sound indeed. The tone is very accurate, helped in no small way by your excellent playing.

Nice one.

Hi Bojan
I know it has been a long time since I have commented to soundfiles. I apologize for that
This is one of my favourites, and it's just wonderful.
Just great.
