ATLANTIS_new version by Paul Rossiter

Hi Friends

Due to a request by our friend Barry from South Australia for Paul to revisit Atlantis, Paul has also reproduced a new and better version he did last week.

The BT is a Shadows original but when we removed Hank from the mix it mangled the track to the point where it became unusable.
Gary however, with his usual skill, fixed the problem by putting back some triangles and strings.

The sound file here was matched to the original mono vinyl!

The amended track is now on the Juke Box.
Click on the juke box button and scroll down to #30.

A future video will show how we recorded it.

Hope you enjoy!

Cheers

Looks like Paul has once again revealed the potential of TVS3 to match his playing skill. It is very Hank like indeed, both in sound and playing.

Hi Victor

Thanks for your comments mate!

I feel that the Atlantis sound is extremly difficult to attain so we are quite happy with the resemblence of playing and sound.

HI Robby, Roger and Lynn

Thanks for your time and support.

Roger:
Yes..Correct...it was done on a Fender Stratocaster not a Burns.
There was quite a debate over the years as to what Hank used but the Burns came out around 1964 and Atlantis was recorded 1963.
I doubt if he would have used a Burns prototype as was suggested because he told me at his studio he used a Fender as he did for Apache...as we have shown.

Cheers
