Handy Man

Postby rogera » 04 Feb 2011, 20:28

While looking for a tune to record, I came across the 1960 hit "Handy Man" by Jimmy Jones. I remembered that James Taylor had also come out with a good version of that number so I looked it up on Youtube and was very surprised at how slow that later version was.

My preference was for James Taylor's version so I've pretty much kept to that one but taken the liberty of speeding it up.
The gear I've used is the same as most of my other soundfiles -- I hope that you like it.

Hi Roger,
That's an excellent rendition which works very well as an instrumental.

Hi Roger,
I could hear James Taylor singing it as I listened - you've got his phrasing off perfectly.
I agree with Robby - it works great as an instrumental, excellent playing combined with a high quality backing track.

Cheers Phil
