BBC obituary for Jet

Postby JimN » 25 Mar 2011, 18:26

Jet was discussed on today's edition of BBC Radio 4's weekly obituary programme: "Last Word".

Comment came from Geoff Barker and Bruce Welch, along with a little archive recording of Jet speaking. Musical extracts included Main Title Theme, Diamonds and Kon-Tiki.

Also featured were obits of actress Elizabeth Taylor, Middlesex and England cricketer Fred Titmus and American politico Warren Christopher.

The programme will eventually be available on the BBC iPlayer:

Hi, Didier,

I assume you meant that you edited out all the non-Jet stuff!

A little bird tells me that a suitably edited version of the programme (leaving out the tributes to the redoubtable Elizabeth Taylor, Fred Titmus and Warren Christopher) can be downloaded in mp3 format from:

It seems to work well.

You are right !

I don't need that, the capture I made was in FLV format, but I converted the audio to mp3, and posted it on our French forum, so that my French speaking friends could improve their English !
Very interesting stuff about why Jet played in the center of the stage...
I had already translated and published Rob's text.
