Tolo - MT World

Postby tolo » 06 Apr 2011, 19:58

Hello everybody....Hoping everyone is very well...

Another from my (very slowly) developing album of original instrumental music - but something a bit different this time... Not exactly the classic 'Shadows' sound - but still very heavily nodded towards Hank and Bruce and how they have influenced my playing...

I hope you enjoy this one. As usual any suggestions most welcome...

Very best to all,

Tony.

Hi Tony
Worth the wait!!
You have a trademark style and its very much in evidence here in the composition with its light and shade, changes of pace and density, in the BT arrangement and in your own guitar sound and playing style. The Mixdown is just superbly Professional.
The last 15 secs coda seem a bit at odds with the rest of it but I guess its a re-visit of the quiet start. That bit'll grow on me, I'm sure.
Stonking BT - sounds almost "live" and that "drummer" is certainly giving it some!! Wonderful!!
Love to know how you get that awesome OD sound without blowing the windows out at home!!!!
LOVED IT, Tony.
cheers

Hi Tony,
Loved it ! Great tones and style of playing, shades of Gilmour and Vai in there.
Great composition.

And another excellent from me! Thought I heard shades of Mr Carlton at the beginning? Really enjoyed the whole thing.

Hello everybody....

Thanks for your very kind words - well spotted on all of the influences!! (particularly Gilmour - whom I adore and admire)....I am indeed honoured...

Ian - great to hear from you - I guess the coda is just my way of 'closing the circle' and finishing on the right chord... Plus I kind of have this thing about surprising the listener when they think it is all over! Also - it was recorded and mixed on headphones - so my windows remain intact!

Thanks again for listening and your feedback...

Regards to all,

Tony.
