Crying backing Track

Postby macphert2501 » 20 Apr 2011, 11:18

Can anyone advise where I could purchase a backing track for crying, similar to the one on Hank's beautiful version. I found a freebie on the web, but it's more a 'chunkachunk ' version of the Big O original and despite much tweaking it still sounds pretty rubbish.

A source would be much appreciated

Tom

Do you mean Hank Marvins version of "The Crying Game"?
Its on Roger Allcocks CD - Backin The Lead.
If you mean Roy Orbisons "Crying" - its on Roger Allcocks "Backin' The Groove".

Thanks stratpicker

Hank did a beautiful version of the Roy Orbison song "Crying". It had a great orchestration and tempo. That's the one I'm looking for but I'll certainly have a look at Roger's tracks

Thanks for the info

His real name is Slockaslickakipperlicker Tom.
The name 'Ian' is a pseudonym.

Hi Tom
Actually its "Slipinacoconutslicer" but lets not be pedantic - whoever he is!! :D
I'd forgotten this track from Hanks "Heartbeat" album of 1997 - what corker!
Love to hear someone tackle the BT for this arrangement - slow and powerful. Great playing from Hank and a brill backing band.
Wonder who it was?
Good luck with your search - I couldnt find one.
If YOU do, let me or any of my alter egos know
cheers
