It's the best sound out of France that I have ever heard Didier, credit where it's due. :)

Here is Jean-Claude's DIY echo box in it's early development on a pad board. A printed circuit has now been made and a second model is being built (the rack had been used for previous other projects, hence some unused connectors) :

It's not intended for sale as a finished product, but only as a DIY project for those who know how to use a soldering iron. It's not either an universal echo box, it's only intended to reproduce the echoes and sound of the first two Meazzi drum echo units used by Hank during the early years. It integrates a guitar preamp, W&F emulation and specific EQ but no reverb. Four PT2399 digital delay chips are used to emulate the Meazzi's four heads.

It looks as though it's a DIY job then so that rules me out as I am useless with a soldering iron at anything more than repairing a guitar lead or socket - installing a set of pickups is my limit!
Still an exciting project though for some folks around here.

JC

I will write in French, Didier mean if I can not make myself understood!

At the moment I test the printed circuit board (PCB Layout) and I test the operation of all
I do not want to give a set that does not work! or evil!

There will be a complete documentation in French so that everyone can build JCechoFDS (sorry for the English language)

The cost for this JCechoFDS is approximately 150 euros all inclusive of spare parts

I started a site where everything is explained for the realization

For now, after this first embodiment, I will build it by guitarists FDS tell me what they think?

If everything is OK I distribute for free for all with the sole obligation to write on the box: JCechoFDS! If it's not too much!

As Jean-Claude explained, the overall cost for components is around €150 (£130) including the 1" rack which is the costliest item !
The second prototype, the first one to use the printed circuit, is being built. Once tested and debugged, the schematics and printed circuit layout will be made public for anyone who wish to build one. This is labor of love from JeanClaude, not intended to generate profits.
If Jean-Claude's documentation is not too big, I'll make a translation into english.

It should be added that like the former Atlantis echo unit, this one doesn't have any kind of storage for patches, all settings adjustements are manual.
