We Will

Here's a soundfile only from me.
I'm waiting on input for a video that's been in the can for over a year.
This is Gilbert O Sullivan's " We Will".
It's been driving me nuts lately, I can't get it out of my head, I love it.
The backing track is the original record with his voice removed, well it's a remix which nicely
spaced out the instruments with the vocal straight down the middle.
It's played on Malcolm.

Well played, Malcolm. Glad you're in good voice. Play this for Daphne when you meet her. She'll love it!

I know what you mean when you say you get a tune that just drives you nuts until you either play it to death or record it.
G.O'S is a smashing writer of pop song and had a way of writing 'bridges' in songs that were unusual. I have this "thing" about "Alone Again (Naturally)" which means something special to me personally and I've been playing it at home for yonks - maybe now I should get off my butt and record it.
Lovely job is this, Ecca! Very clever to get a good BT out of the original track. Amazing tone from Malcolm - is that the name for the Burnsocaster?
cheers

I just had to play it, it's driving me round the bend.
There's something so evocative ( and sentimentally sad ) about the melody, although it isn't a sad song when you listen to the lyrics.
I heard it for the first time in a long while a couple of weeks back on the wireless.
Try busking to the classy, classy chord sequences, most unexpected.
No plectrum, Korg £19 Ampworks, new black Burnsocaster (as Sloxpewk so insulted Malcolm.)
Found a magnificent enormous, reverb within Adobe Audition. ( no echo )
Wakeful nights with this bloody song going round my head.
Doctored the original record for BT yesterday, finished recording it today.
Job done.
Sanity ( I hope)
Cheers all,
Ecca

Great stuff Ecca 8-)
I was watching a documentary about O'Sullivan a few weeks ago on the telly and thought at the time that a lot of his songs would make fantastic instrumentals.
He's got this amazing ability to create lovely chord patterns and melody lines.
I was thinking about 'Nothing Rhymed' for one.

Nothing Rhymed would make a great instrumental.
