EMI must have made a small fortune from the Shadows records between 1960-65 and they still refuse to release anything, it could be one of the Shadows refuses to sanction release of the material.
EMI don't actually need The Shadows (or any other of their artistes) to sanction the release of recordings made by EMI under contract (whether at the studios or elsewhere).
However, it seems to have been the case so far that the company has tried to accommodate the wishes of Hank and Bruce when considering the release of archive material. I'm not sure that Tony Meehan or Jet Harris would have used any veto to which they were entitled.
