A Woman Like You

Hi folks,
Thought I would submit a song that I did up the guitar lead for recently. It is " A Woman Like You" done
by Johnny Reid a Canadian C&W singer and apparently written by him to his wife. He is a great singer and
wonderful performer.

I do the music for myself but hope some may enjoy this. For the purist, I have been playing "The Shadows"
music it now seems forever and have over the past year decided it is time for a change, after all I am pushing
the big 70. The BT is mine,....delay,sustain,vibrato and chorus.

Very nice Fred. What guitar are you playing there? It sounds more like a Burns than a Strat to me

By the way. Johnnie is one of us terrible Scotsmen. He moved to Canada years ago but was born in Lanark.
There was a documentary about him and his life on the telly over there during one of my visits.
I'd never heard of him til then.

Thanks Hugh. Yes I purchased the strat in 1960. I guess the sound is because I use
Garageband when doing up my tunes. I find it simple and the easiest to use. I have
arthritis and find it a challenge at times especially playing chords.
Yes I was aware that Johnny Reid was from Scotland and luckily have been able to
see a couple of his concerts.

Its not good when your playing is restricted by some injury or other. I suppose its just the way it is for some of us in later years.
I could'nt play for over two years but I was fortunate that an op got it sorted and I got back on the saddle again.
I'm dreading the day it comes back again, if it does that is

I'm not a fan of C/W in any way but I have to say the guy has an unmistakable and interesting voice. I found his concert on the telly well worth watching when I was on holiday over there.

Hugh, I'm open to all kinds of music if I think it will make an interesting instrumental. Like you,
not really a C&W fan. It would be hard not to be able to play and hopefully it won't come down
