I was looking at the music and lyrics to "Move It" as printed in a sheet music book that I recently bought (it was published by Faber Music, whomever that is). The lyrics in the book do not match what Cliff sang. I know it is very common for singers/artists to change the lyrics from their original form, but this looks unusual. I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen these to be the original lyrics to "Move It." Otherwise, I think it is more of a typographical error:
What Cliff sang (as far as my ears can tell) is:
"...just don't know what's a goin' to replace it. Yeah, well, ballads and calypso's have got nothin' on...real country music that just drives along..."
This book says:
"...just don't know what's a goin' to replace it. Yeah, little darling I could live so's I got nothin' on...real country music that just drives along...
What do you think...did Ian Samwell write those lyrics?
Thanks.
Best wishes,
Donna
