FAREWELL TO CASABLANCA_SPIKE

Hi Everyone

Sorry to have been a bit our of circulation lately but work and family have had to take preference. I have popped my head in from time to time and listened to many of the tunes posted and may I say the standard has certainly stepped up....bravo to all members.
Here is a Lenny Clerwal tune that I really liked and have been meaning to record it for the last 6 months but have been too busy.
I completed it today and wish to thank Gary and Paul for their help and support.
The backing track is by Danny Madden but Gary has added rhythm on a seperate track to give it a bit more bite.
I hope you like it.
Its at http://www.mrsite.co.uk/usersitesv27/tv ... /page7.htm
click on the Juke box button and scroll down to the last track... #82

Cheers

Nice one Spike. The 60s retro sound on your latest - to a tune I hadn't heard before - a little reminicent of ''Theme for Young Lovers''.

Great playing, great sound. All the best.

Very good Spike - just how does Lenny Clerwall come up with all of these fantastic tunes?!

Hi John, Gary and Roger...thanks for taking the time to listen and comment...much appreciated!

Roger: This tune I feel was based on Theme for Young Lovers as John mentioned. Another one I did a while back called Second Street was based on the The Boys.
On several of his compositions, LC seems to use a Shads tune as a starting point and then he makes the overall tune his own...its still pretty clever!
Thanks again for your comments!

Cheers

Thanks very much Andy

I must add that the TVS3 here was used to replicate the Vox Long Tom echo and sound for this tune and also for the other Lenny Clerwal tunes I have posted in the past.

I used the Farewell to Casablanca patch that Paul produced for me based on the original recording by the group "1961" with Ronnie on lead guitar.

Glad a few people enjoyed it!
