When I emailed Pierre about how to play the ending to this wonderful tune this was his reply...

In the ending part of the tune I used no pick and used a compresser-sustainer effect. My solo at PreShadowmania was not the same as the one of my album, except some notes. If I would played it again, the ending would be surely again not exactly the same.

So it seems no matter what you play at the end its ok..........Ian nice sound file Cheers :)

Hello Risky Phil, John, Rob and Derek and thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.
Phil - I don't go to Hankies much at the moment either. Never seem to find the time to get there early enough.
John - considering the equality of your SF's, thank you so much for your kind words.
Rob - about time we heard a SF from you from that new Strat of yours?! :D
Derek - the two endings (Shads vs Pierre) are SO different that I did my own thing (as you say). Loosely based  on Hanks outro, I needed to come to a proper finish rather than the fade out on the record, hence the repeat lower register run in the coda.
PIerre's playing at SM2006 was just wonderful.
cheers
