This is really sad news indeed. I do hope you'll get on well soon, and that having to cancel your appearance in this last Shadowmania will not be too hard a blow to you.
I did enjoy your playing and great sound last year at Frimley green, and wish to thank you again for that. We''ll all have a special thought for you this year on Sept 15th.

Hi Phil,

I have been playing since 1958, having a rock band playing Cliff and the Shads stuff for about 4 years in the early sixties. Since then I play in the privacy of my own home, although a year or so ago I joined a local Shadows music club.

I have never had the pleasure to meet you or see you, but get great enjoyment from watching/listening to your YouTube clips of Shads numbers and also the Shadowmania clips. I watch your clips endlessly with sheer admiration of your great playing talent. My very best wishes go with you with your pending operation and look forward to you making a complete recovery when maybe once again we may hear and watch your great talent once again.

I was very sorry to hear of your health problems, Phil.

One consolation is that at least, your problems have now been properly diagnosed and treatment has commenced with good results even at a relatively early stage. That's the most important thing.

Just heard this on return from holiday. Hope and pray that Phil's health problems are resolved speedily. Shadowmania will be very different this year without PK on the other side of the stage.
