Who is this at 0:40 in the video?

Hi, everybody. I found this video on YouTube and I was wondering if the person who comes through the door at about 0:40 is Lonnie Donegan. I think it's Tito Burns sitting in the chair and it sounds like he introduces the person as Mr Laurie Driver, but I might not be hearing him correctly. Or maybe he did say that and I just don't know who that is?

If it's Lonnie Donegan, then I think it is really cute. If it is not Lonnie, oh well!

Yes it's Bernie Winters, one half of a comedy double act during this time with his brother Mike.
They used to run a market stall together on Norwich Market during the War.
Bernie is no longer with us, but I think Mike is....emigrated to the USA some time ago.

Definitely Bernie and Sam, and that's Cherry Wainer on the organ..a keyboard player playing live with the Shads many years before Cliff Hall!

I'd say it was Tito Burns not Sam. If you google them both and check the images it looks more like Tito.

Yes, it's definitely Tito Burns, who was Cliff's actual manager. Even Norrie gets to do a bit of ham acting!
