I found what looks to be a very entertaining 10-part series of videos on YouTube. Below is Part 1 of 10. It is a documentary about great British comedy duos. I see mention of Morcambe and Wise and Mike & Bernie Winters and many others. When I get the time, I want to watch all ten parts. It is a combination of TV clips and interviews. For example, when I saw interviews of Little and Large, I can see that they weren't exactly the best of friends (at least sometimes). The same would be true of some American comedy duos with whom I am familiar. So far, I love all of these British acts, but there seems to be something about the late Eric Morcambe that is tugging at my heart strings.

Enjoy,
Donna

Yes M&W were excellent because they really did like each other. And they complemented each other. Morecambe would have probably have worked without Wise but they were stronger as a duo. Wise could be quite funny on his own, he was a much better song and dance man and he did all the organising behind the scenes. Morecambe was a genius, pure and simple, and Wise brought it out.

Is it just me? I'm thinking of another pair of lads now. Same initials ....
