I suppose with the return of 'The VULCAN' it's time for the bikes to reappear too?

I've always hankered after one of these (Royal Enfield Clubman) . . . . .

Jim,

Perhaps you'd like a single cylinder bike with a bit more 'go'? :)

Bill,

I know I've probably asked this before (memory loss- I turned 60 this week..) is the Velo a genuine Thruxton with a VMT code engine number?? yeah, I'm a bike anorak too.....

Prefer the BSA's though- both A65 variants? One being a street scrambler US market version??

I don't need to embarass myself- I never had many, nor kept , any photos of my Bantam D1, C11 250 BSA or Jawa Californian 250..!

Bill - my late father had a Velocette KTT before the war & a Velo would be my second choice after the Enfield.
Only thing is, they don't do a reissue with electric start & electronic ignition!!!!

'Roach,

I believe that particular Velo to be a 1970 Thruxton, but can't swear to it -its the same as the one my brother had back then at the same time I had a brand new '69 Lightning. The Velo was slower than the twins 'off the mark' but would wind out and keep on winding out long after the Hond 750 4's, Norton Commando's, Bonevilles etc ran out of revs! :)
