The last Zoom I bought was the G2.1U and it had a pretty thin sound.
Yours seems to have a much fuller sound. Do you still need to boost the sound?.

No I didn't, this is the sound directly into my computer using Logic Pro 9 software (Macbook Pro) and I used the Vox amplifier simulation in the programme. It sounds identical when used live through my Vox AC-4 or VT-30 amps, or indeed the Mesa Boogie MKIII. Out of all the previous devices of this type that I previously owned, the Zoom G3x has delivered the best guitar sound, along with my Vox Tonelab SE, which is far more complicated to programme. When I say previous devices I mean the Alesis ones. What I can't get over is that it is by far the least expensive of the lot. This is a great option for those who cannot afford the more expensive options. That said, I will still be buying a Hall & Collins machine because Charlie has meticulously nailed every nuance of the sound I love, but then again I can justify the outlay as a gigging professional musician.
