What A Lovely Tune.

Postby Paul Childs » 22 Nov 2015, 11:53

Has there ever been an un edited version of What A Lovely Tune with the talking removed and the volume not fading in and out? Would be interesting to hear the instrumental that way just straight.
I think I read when The Shadows at Abbey Road was released it was said that a lot of early tapes no longer exist?

There is a demo version that exists but the Shadows said they don't want this released so not much chance of hearing it without the speech.

Perhaps Ian McCutcheon's version can act as a substitute?

If you go to GORAN TANGRING website he has posted demo and b/t without narrative and tea being poured!!!
Not the Shads but a very decent version where you can clearly hear the notes in the melody line

Hi
Some of our Shadows Club members played a very nice live version earlier in the year.

:D There must be something in the water down here!

I have a CD entitled "Home Grown Guitar Music" by a group from Hobart (Tasmania) caled "The Five O'Clock Shadows."

Last track (No.17) is WALT! No commentary!

Cheers, Ian. 8-)

Hi,

Here is a quick re-mix (without the talking) of the version we did for the TVS juke box.

Regards,

Paul.
