(YOU ARE) THE STARS IN MY NIGHTS

STARS OF MY NIGHTS
This cracking little tune was written by Oswald Perera, a good friend of mine, and arranged my me. It has IMO a great melody line and is very enjoyable to play too - comes nicely to the fingers.
The BT comes courtesy of my BandInABox again.
We hope that you enjoy this little Collab.

Really nice - you have a lovely smooth touch on this Ian - the notes, bends and slides are impeccable. I have never heard this tune before too - so its a relly good listen. Good mix - and a nice tempo. Well done

Thanks Tony
your kind comments are always appreciated.
Its the first time it has been recorded for the Forum AFAIK. It was fun "arranging " it to suit my style and making a BT to suit. I put an Accordion in the mix, just for the fun of it.
Cheers

What a professional job!

The tune is unusual. In the main melody, there's a hint of Don't Sleep in the Subway, which incidentally would make a rather good Hank-style instro itself, I suspect. But the real 'hook' for me comes with the unexpected modulations into, and out of, the middle bit. Weird on a first hearing, but delightful after that!

The playing is top notch.

Good 'un, Ian :)

Hi Denis - thank you for your kind comment.
Hi Iain - thank you too. I agree about Pet Clarks ",Dont Sleep - - " but its just a momentary nudge - a collection of similar notes. I quite like the way Oswald tackled the Bridge too - neat idea.
Cheers
