I'd like to play a number at the Hankies all the way through without making a mistake :(

Continuing the media theme (although completely off topic)...the whole presentation of News on television drives me mad, in particular the 'pronouns only in the first sentence of a report' policy, e,g,: "He said he would make an important announcement...", "It began as a dispute between...", "Her appearance in court was..." Who? What? Presumably we are thought to have such a short concentration span that we need to be drawn into each story with this riddle-me-re approach which I find insulting to my intelligence! I'm sure Robert Dougall and Richard Baker never used to do this!!
BTW...did anyone notice the "Britain executed" banner headline on the BBC1 lunchtime news on Tuesday?!!! Even the phrase, "The BBC has learned..." gets my blood pressure rising...

(This particular) rant over!

Back on topic, I would like The Shadows at the BBC to get released (preferably as a 2 or more CD set) and/or a Shadows on the Box DVD (like Cliff's Hit List) compilation of TV appearances. But I'm not holding my breath.

That's when I hit the Mute button. I wish I was paid as much as the dummies who sit around thinking up annoying adverts (That ain't workin' that's the way you do it - Money for nothin' and chicks for free)

Well, I'd like 2010 to be as memorable as was the year 2000. It's been quite a decade for me, but I still have fond memories of 2000... Was it really TEN years ago?!!!!!

On the Cliff/Shadows front; personally I'd like to see a live album (CD) recorded Down Under. I know that we have the live DVD, but isn't it nice to be able to put a disc into the hi-fi, lie back, close your eyes and just listen to the music? I love the DVD, but I'd like to experience it without being distracted (in the nicest possible way) by the visuals - or perhaps influenced would be a better word to have used there? The experience of just listening to music is subtley different from listening and watching and not everyone is able to play their DVD through their hi-fi. So..... A live CD please for 2010, as I'm sure that it would sell just as well as the live DVD. Possibly even better...

Happy New Year!

Being a touch selfish I'd like to continue getting back still further to a more full and healthy life.

Also we wish all our friends on here a very happy new year.
