The Ember version (yes, the cover shot was very interesting) was licensed out to Ember after the original 1970 MfP release (in either cover) had been deleted. If I remember correctly, that was about 1975.

The Ember sleeve had a textured finish, like photo-print shops use when trying to make a picture look more like portrait on canvas.

Looks like a photo taken around 1966/67 period.
I think the guitars are plugged in and the amps liked up so it could be a TV show rehersal or something or that could be just for the shot.
Nice to see Hank's original Burns model.

I agree. On my copy I had marked some of the graphical mistakes back then.

I've studied that picture a bit more closely and there's something very odd about it.
