For those of you who attended the O2 concerts was there anything different sonically or performance-wise compared to the DVD?

I asked this same question regarding the 2004 DVD and as I recall only thing diffrent was a false start on Man of Misery someone said.

Based upon what I'm seeing and hearing on u toob, I think the DVD (if there's any "fixing" of something) is an accurate recording of a fantastic performance.

All the concerts (including the O2) would have benefitted from the backings (a lot of click tracks used) and enhanced vocals recorded before the tour got underway, so most would have sounded very similar except that the acoustics in some venues would be better than others.

In Glasgow, Cliff fluffed the words to ? (can't remember), so he spoke for a few moments and off they went again.

In Cardiff, he forgot to sing Please Don't Tease. Started in on the talk about being knocked off number one by the Shadows, and Bruce had to remind him to actually sing the song

I was at the o2 the night this was recorded. There is a song missing that cliff sang a different verse to the shadows but I cant for the life of me think what it was. There is also a bit where hank says to people sitting at the top something along the lines of bet you wish your brought better tickets now.

Towards the end of the DVD,Cliff is thanking everyone for their support and for turning up then say's"It's been such a boring night"

I was surprised at this remark and I would have thought that derogatory remarks like this would have been

edited out of the DVD?

I still like the DVD and I keep going back to it nearly every day.

Maybe Cliff had a senior moment,we'll forgive Him.

Alan, by "click tracks" I presume you mean that there was a midi file and/or an audio file backing track that counted-in the song and provided the click tempo for the drummer (did Brian use headphones?) so that the song could be done at a preset tempo allowing Warren the option of overlaying some pre-recorded backings and/or some pre-recorded multi-pad infills.

Sorry about the long sentence, but I guess you get my drift.

My question really is does anyone think, by comparing the live performance to the DVD, that there was any rerecording of anyone or anything soundwise on the DVD?

If there was it's tuff to tell.

Brian is using in-ear monitors on some of the songs, as is Cliff throughout. Both Griff and Keith Hayman use headphones now and again during the concert. Only Hank and Bruce rely on the tried and trusted age old system of using on-stage monitors. Personally, I think these look great and they always make the stage look properly dressed. Plus, of course, what would Steve Harris of Iron Maiden do without them?!!!!!

Fantastic gig/DVD. It has been, and will be, played again and again and again...
