It must have been one of the first things he recorded in Australia, because he was living about a year and a half in Australia at the time. Does anyone know in which studio? All subsequent Shadows recordings were done in England at Brian Bennett's studios as well as Hank's solo albums "Into The Light" and "Heartbeat". The first full solo album, Hank recorded in Australia was "Hank Plays Cliff", apart from Cliff Richard and Mark Griffiths' contributions, which were recorded in England.

Hank may have recorded his parts at SoundsWest in Perth, WA...I think he had some financial interest/ownership in the studio with Kevin Peek IIRC at that time.

He did a radio interview with Dominic King on Radio Kent (available on the iplayer) on Wed 14th, where he said the weather was so bad they had to mime for safety reasons.

Interesting, now that's proof alright! On the video of the concert, you would think Hank plays "London Kid" live, but "Fourth Rendez-Vous" is definitely mimed. You can hear him play quite a solo, but if you look at the video, it looks like he's only strumming.

That's a very good cover, I've never heard it played by another artist!

Thanks for your nice comment Iefje.
I feel we were the first one to play it live.

The story goes that Jean-Michel and Hank composed "London Kid" over the telephone. However, Hank isn't mentioned as co-composer on the 7", 12" and CD-singles and the "Revolutions" album.
