Hank got his first guitar 60 years ago...
Posted: Sat Oct 28, 2017 5:41 pmI’m sure a lot of us are thinking of Hank today, although he doesn’t celebrate his birthday. He recounts often in interviews how his father bought him his first guitar, a Hofner Congress, for his 16th birthday, 60 years ago today. Amazing.
It was also nice to see in a recent photo and interview that he still had the banjo that he bought off his schoolmaster.
