Change of Address - signed!

It was my birthday on Saturday - 25 again! Come to think of it, 27 again!!!

One of my friends sent me a copy of 'Change of Address' - which, obviously I already had. However... upon turning it over, I saw that it was signed by the lads! What a great present! The Change of Address tour, in October 1980, was the FIRST gig I ever attended and so it means a lot to me. One of my friends, who is now deceased, went to see them and met Hank and Bruce in a restaurant and got them to sign his programme. I was always envious! But now I have the LP signed by Hank, Bruce AND Brian! As I say... a great birthday present (which almost made up for me being an old geezer!).

Hi Chris

Yes they were doing an album signing on that tour, I remember I took time off work to queue at HMV in Birmingham to get mine signed before the show on the night

Just been redecorating and have now got an album display frame to put it in so it can be put on display

Also got the Life Story CD Album signed at Birmingham Symphony Hall from I think the 2004 tour so that can go up as well

This is of course providing someone doesn't object :D

Back in 2004, my father and I went to see The Shadows in concert in Norwich. A couple of hours before the show, we waited by the stage door to meet Hank, Bruce and Brian and asked for their autographs. We got them on the front cover of the stereo issue of the first studio album "The Shadows". Some months later, we went to see Jet Harris & The Rapiers in The Netherlands and asked Jet for his autograph, which he put down on the same LP cover. This is now a very special copy of the LP. ;)
