Great work by everyone to complete that timeline for Ulrich.

I actually met Chris Slade in Los Angeles a few years ago but I didn't know he had worked with John Rostill. If I get another opportunity I will ask him about those days. Chris is a nice guy who has played with everybody.

John played on both albums that you have mentioned and also on quite a few of Gilbert O’Sullivan’s big hits.

Do you have any details of these, Rose? We know that Alan Jones played on some Gilbert O'S sessions but this is the first time I've heard John mentioned also.

Many thanks - Iain

Big Jim Sullivan played on most of Gilbert O' Sullivan's recordings. He was later inspired to record a rare LP "Sullivan Plays O'Sullivan". He confirmed that John did play bass on some G O'Sullivan hits /sessions. But...even when I was talking to him about it c. 35 years ago..,he could not recall with 100% certainty exactly which tracks. Perhaps it isnot surprising, given that Big Jim played on literally thousands of recordings!!

The other connection, of course, was Gordon Mills...who managed both Tom Jones and Gilbert O'Sullivan. For those who may not know "Claire" was Gordon Mills' very young daughter.

I recall seeing John playing bass with Gilbert O'Sullivan's band
