Love De Luxe / Alan Jones / Get it Together

Back in 1978, I seem to recall that Alan Jones was quite often seen as the bass player in the house band on the show 'Get It Together'. I wonder if he was in the studio on the day that they showed the video for 'Love De Luxe''? and, if so, I wonder if it drew any comments from the others?
I remember watching this particular edition, which must have been from about September/October, but after 40 years, the memories are somewhat vague concerning events prior and after the video was shown!
I do, however, vividly recall buying the single itself on November 1st, 1978!
