Hi all,
This year sees the 21st annual SHADOWS MUSIC GALA taking place over the weekend of 9/10th June 2018. The venue is Scarborough Rugby Club, The J.M.Guthrie Clubhouse, Scalby Rd, Scalby, Scarborough YO13 0NL.
Once again we have a full programme for you to enjoy with three feature bands playing each day. Back by popular demand we have from Sweden ‘THE RYDERS’ & ‘THE LENNY CLERWALL BAND’ and from closer to home ‘FIVE DIVIDE’ & ‘SHADOWS MUSIC’
As well as the feature bands there will be lots of play time for individual players to either play to backing tracks or in a live band. If you enjoy playing bass, rhythm or drums there will be plenty of time for you too.
Scarborough Rugby club enjoys a fabulous location on the northern outskirts of Scarborough with 300+ free car parking spaces, full bar and catering facilities all at very reasonable prices.
The weekend starts on Saturday at 11am-17-30pm & Sunday from 10-30am-17-30pm
Admission is £15 which covers for both days.
Oh yes! The fish & chip restaurant has been booked for the Saturday evening.

One final point, we use mini-disc backing tracks and also have provision for laptops so if you have something out of the ordinary that you want to play I would suggest bringing your own mini-discs with you. That way you will avoid disappointment.

There are just three weeks to go to one of the best weekends for Shadows type instrumental music held at a wonderful venue with the opportunity to meet like minded friends.

The list of groups appearing sounds terrific and I'm looking forward to seeing Lenny Clerwall with Kurt Froberg & the Ryders for their third appearance at the Gala.

From down here in the West-Country it's normally a three-day camel ride to get up to Scarborough but this year we're letting the train take the strain. MIND the GAP!!!
