Can anyone hjelp me with information about Stingray. Is Hank using a Fender VI-bass?

On Stingray, the sound of the Fender Bass VI is also modified by a Gibson-Maestro Fuzztone unit (as the guitar sound on Don't Make My Baby Blue and The War Lord, a few months later).

I can remeber back at the time on TV The Shadows played this one with Hank on the Fender 6 on Sunday Night At The London Paladium. Probably no archives of it exist now?

I too recall that appearance. At first, the Bass VI having not been mentioned, I thought Hank was playing a Fender Jaguar. On close-ups, though, the three pickups and fewer controls became evident.

I wondered why Hank hadn't ordered one in white, which would have matched the Burns guitars better.
