Saw this on a Facebook forum this morning.

"NEW RELEASE out on October 26th, The Shadows Live at the BBC.
21 tracks from 1965 - 1973. Thanks to Brian Goode of Outrider Management for the information."

Can't see anything online about it.

INCREDIBLE if it's true!

I actually met Brian Goode about two maybe three years ago when I went into London to have lunch with someone else. I can't remember much of what was said, as he seemed to spend most of his time on his phone! All I can say is this... he doesn't seem like the sort of person to say something unless it's a 100% certainty. If this info has come from him, then I think it must be true.

Looks great!

I have followed with some interest the unfolding story of this CD over the past 20 years or so - as several people have tried unsuccessfully to get it (or something like it) released. I was under the impression that it would never happen due to all sorts of rights issues. So what has changed? It looks legit to me, released by Parlophone Records Group and it's good that, thanks to the 1973 session, Apache, Nivram and Wonderful Land can be included.

Anyway, as it's released - fingers crossed - four weeks before my birthday, it'll be many happy returns I think! :D

Most of these tracks have previously appeared on bootlegs/ unofficial Cd issues in the past.
If digitally remastered to best quality sound, then that will be good!!!
To coin Steven Gerrard the Glasgow Rangers Managers phrase- "Bring it on" !!!!!!!

I got the impression that it wasn't so much "rights" as "permission" wasn't it? So the rights were all cleared but someone with the power of veto chose to not have it released? I might be wrong there - it's been a long journey! Anyway, good to see that (hopefully) it is going to come out at last, and its all genuinely interesting stuff. Given that The Beatles are about to charge £125 for the latest 'stuff from under the sofa cushions' White Album reissue, I don't think anyone would begrudge The Shadows one last shake of the money tree into the pension pot!
